Capacity Building Technical Assistance Grants - 2005
Request for Applications
The National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) announces the availability of the Homeless Providers Grants - 2005. Cash grants up to $3,000 each will be made to nonprofit community-based groups with experience in providing assistance to homeless veterans. The purpose of these grants is to build the management capacity of community and faith-based organizations to better serve our homeless veterans. Individual nonprofit organizations are eligible for up to $1,000, but organizations working in partnership with multiple non profits that span the state are eligible for up to $3,000.

Statewide Meetings/Workshops
*We will not be able to reimburse organizations for the purchase of computer equipment.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by a panel of impartial reviewers, selected by the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, for completeness and relevance to building the organization's capacity to better serve homeless veterans.
Reimbursement Process
Reimbursement will be made within 2 weeks after the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans receives copies of training completion certificates and payment receipts.
Application Instructions
Format
Present all information on single sided, 8.5" x 11" paper, with margins of 1.25". Use 12 point type, "Times New Roman" font, four (4) pages maximum. Two hard copies of the application packet must be provided. Concisely written applications are requested and only completed applications will be reviewed.

Eligible Participants
Past and current recipients of "VA Homeless Provider Grant and Per Diem Program Grants", nonprofit Community Based Organizations (CBO) and Faith Based Organizations (FBO) that provide assistance to homeless veterans. Groups and coalitions that are providing regional or statewide conferences are also eligible for funding.
