Eli Lilly Personal Care Kits for Stand Down

NCHV has been notified that of the 25,000 personal care kits Eli Lilly and Company is distributing to homeless veterans at Stand Down events nationwide in 2005, fewer than 6,000 remain available for order. Each kit contains a comb, toothbrush, bar of soap, a small tube of Freshmint fluoride toothpaste, and a small bottle of conditioning shampoo. Eli Lilly distributed 15,000 kits in 2002; 20,000 kits in 2003; and 25,000 kits in 2004.
To order personal care kits, contact Louise Staley at nchv2@nchv.org or call 202-546-1969 (toll-free: 1-800-VET-HELP) for a 2005 Stand Down Information Form when you have a firm date scheduled for your event. Fill out the Information Form and email it to nchv2@nchv.org or fax it to 202-546-2063. Your event will be listed on the NCHV National Stand Down Registry, and we will order kits for the homeless veterans you expect to serve.
Be sure to include a delivery mailing address (kits will not be sent to a P.O. Box). Once they are ordered, kits should be received within four weeks.
