Webinar on Leveraging Housing Resources
January 29 at 2 p.m. EST

HVRP grantees must connect veterans in their programs to housing that meets their individual needs. While no HVRP funding can be spent on housing, HVRP grantees are responsible for making sure veterans have access to available emergency, transitional, permanent supportive, and affordable housing. With implementation of Housing First and efforts to rapidly move veterans from homeless to housed, an HVRP program likely faces pressure to rapidly enroll veterans while they are eligible for services. Understanding the spectrum of housing services available to veterans in your programs and the eligibility restrictions and timelines for these services can be complicated.

On Jan. 29, 2015, NVTAC held a webinar to discuss the spectrum of housing services, including those through VA and HUD. Presenters provided a detailed look at the major programs, and an overview of the key eligibility overlaps likely to impact veterans in your community.
