Webinar on Collaborating with the VA and The Community Employment Coordinator
Thursday, Mar. 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. ET

HVRPs are expected to develop and maintain linkages with a variety of programs, including local Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) services.  In addition to homeless housing programs, VAMCs also offer employment services such as Compensated Work Therapy, Transitional Work Experience and Supported Employment. Recently VAMCs established Community Employment Coordinators (CEC) at each facility across the country. The primary function of the CEC is to work with both VA and non-VA employment services to strengthen the employment opportunities for homeless veterans.

In this webinar we discussed the role of the CEC, the collaboration with HVRP and explored how homeless veterans can benefit through stronger partnerships. John Rio from AHP facilitated the presentation and discussion andur guests included several CECs.
