Webinar on Trauma-Informed Care (Part 1)
January 21 2:00 p.m. EST

Recent research has confirmed the high rate of trauma among veterans with a history of homelessness. As successful service providers working to end veteran homelessness, NCHV members know the value of meeting veterans where they are and building environments that lead veterans toward recovery. Trauma-informed care is a promising practice that can assist you in this process.

On January 21 at 2:00 p.m. EST, participants joined VHA National Center on Homelessness among Veterans, National Center for PTSD, NCHV, and NCHV member organizations for an engaging webinar on trauma informed care. This introductory webinar, "Trauma-Informed Care for Homeless Veterans: Part 1," was the first in a series of webinars designed exclusively for NCHV member agencies interested in integrating trauma-informed care principles into their work.

Expert panelists in this training included:

  • Karen A. Guthrie, LICSW
  • Casey O’Donnell, PsyD
  • The Trauma Informed Care Planning Committee
